Bring the complete kit
Players describe three distinct jobs: detecting the spot, digging the chest out, then unlocking it. Bring the metal detector, shovel and a key before following a signal. Keeping the vehicle reasonably close is a practical suggestion from the discussion, since only one tool can be carried at a time in the reported procedure.[1]
Read the signal before digging
| Reported cue | Next action |
|---|---|
| Beeping begins | Search the nearby area; the first beep is not an exact digging coordinate. |
| Beeping gets faster | Make smaller movements and compare the signal. |
| A higher tone over the spot | Mark that position and change to the shovel. |
The detailed tone distinction is one player’s explanation. Another participant later reported noticing the faster beeps and successfully finding treasure. These are qualitative observations; there is no verified detector range or fixed number of digging actions in the thread.[1]
A complete search-to-chest sequence
Two replies describe leaving the detector as a marker while getting the shovel. The developer later fixed chests, lids and locks being interactable before a chest was fully dug up. A visible piece of chest is therefore not a good reason to skip digging.[1][2]
When you get an empty hole
Recheck the position and tone before widening the hole at random. Verify that you brought the right tools. If the same spot still fails, record the version and signal behaviour; the reports do not establish a universal reload fix.
We have not verified loot probabilities, guaranteed chest locations or every key type. The guide explains the documented Demo procedure, not a guaranteed-profit route or a current-build treasure database.
