Nomad Roadbook is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Requests are handled by that hosting provider, which receives technical connection information such as an IP address. This site has no accounts, comments, advertising or embedded third-party video players.

Cloudflare page and performance measurements

Cloudflare also adds a browser beacon to this site to measure page views and loading performance. It sends those measurements to Cloudflare and can run before you make the Google Analytics choice below. Cloudflare states that its beacon does not use cookies or browser storage and does not track individuals across its customers’ sites. Analytics preferences on this site control Google Analytics only. Declining Google Analytics does not disable Cloudflare’s hosting or these Cloudflare measurements.

Search and checklists

Guide search runs in your browser using a small index from this site. A search term may appear in the page URL and browser history. We do not include it in the analytics page URL. Checklists save only checked-step positions in this browser’s local storage, with a separate key for each checklist version. They are not uploaded or synced between devices. Use Reset checks on a guide or clear this site’s browser storage to remove them. If storage is unavailable, checks remain usable until the page is closed or reloaded.

Optional Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 loads only if you choose Accept analytics on our canonical website. Until you choose, or if you decline, our site does not load Google’s analytics script. Your choice is saved in this browser’s local storage. If that storage is unavailable, analytics stays off.

If allowed, Google receives basic visit information such as the page path, page title and technical browser information. We omit query strings from the page URL and send only the referring website’s origin. Analytics cookies can identify repeat visits in this browser and are configured to expire after 90 days without renewal. Advertising signals, ad personalization and enhanced measurement are disabled in our configuration. We do not send checklist progress or deliberately identify individual visitors.

Use Analytics preferences in the footer to change your choice. Declining after acceptance disables future analytics and removes the analytics cookies set on this hostname; the page then reloads. This does not erase information already sent to Google. You can also clear this site’s cookies and storage through your browser.

With your permission, we also count completed searches, openings of search results and optional Yes/Not yet guide feedback. We send only the number of matches, the guide’s identifier and a yes/no feedback value, never your search words or checklist selections. This helps us find searches with no matches, see whether the results lead to a guide and identify guides that readers report as unhelpful.

Corrections and privacy questions

Email [email protected] to report an error or ask a privacy question. If you email us, we receive your address and the information you include, and use them to respond and address your report. Correction links open a draft in your email app; nothing is sent until you choose to send it.
